Friday’s episode SmackDown premiered from Hershey, PA as WWE engaged in the fallout from Saturday’s Elimination Chamber premium live event in Saudi Arabia. The event, which saw Brock Lesnar last eliminating Austin Theory to become WWE Champion, set-up a WrestleMania contract signing between Lesnar and Roman Reigns to unify the WWE and Universal Championships. The show opened with Women’s Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey, who was attacked in the segment by Sonya Deville, setting up a match between Deville and Rousey for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
Following the bout between Sasha Banks and Naomi, Naomi noted that the former Team BAD members are on a quest for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. During the Sami Zayn segment, Johnny Knoxville eyed the Intercontinental Championship.
