Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has been out for some time dealing with some injuries that required surgey. Even though The Cleaner has been out of the spotlight for some time, it looks like he is still doing what he can to help AEW behind the scenes. Of course, Omega as an EVP for the promotion, so all of that makes sense.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny is a significant component of the recent DDT and AEW partnership. It;s noted that Omega is friends with people within the group, and the contract includes Tokyo Joshi Pro, which will allow more talent to collaborate.
DDT recently held their 25th-anniversary show with Christopher Daniels breaking the news. He made an appearance and sent a video message to the supporters. Omega made a public statement about the news on his Twitter account, emphasizing how happy he is with the deal.
We will have to see how this partnership plays out moving forward. Kenny Omega had a successful run during his time with DDT as it was there that he first made a name for himself as a wrestler.
