Kazuchika Okada Hints At Possible CM Punk/Bryan Danielson Matches At Forbidden Door

AEW and NJPW will present Forbidden Door on June 26th, 2022 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Since the announcement, the internet has been buzzing about potential matchups.

Kazuchika Okada is one of the best wrestlers on the planet, that fact is indisputable. “The RainMaker” has had incredible matches all over the world and his series of matches with Kenny Omega is well documented and one of the first names on the tip of people’s tongues to show up a Forbidden Door. Okada addressed the idea of showing up at Forbidden Door in an interview with Sports Illustrated:

Forbidden Door with AEW has just been announced, and all the fans are predicting various matches, I believe the day will come when I wrestle CM Punk and Bryan Danielson.”

As Okada mentions, fans are predicting various matches but he himself names Cm Punk and Bryan Danielson as possible opponents at AEW Forbidden Door. He also is yet to find an opponent for NJPW Capital Collision. However whoever his opponents may be at both shows, there is a pretty high likely hood the match is gonna be great. Who would you want to see Okada face at Forbidden Door? There is a litany of possible opponents that Okada didn’t mention such as Keith Lee, Hangman Page and many more. Okada ended the interview with a message to US fans:

“The professional wrestling world has finally begun to move,I am focused on my title match in Japan, but I have also received lots of comments from American fans on Twitter. I’m firmly accepting all of their kind wishes. But as nice as those comments are, I am happier with cheers. I am ‘The Rainmaker,’ and I hope people come and cheer when we make it rain in the U.S.”
