Drew Gulak has not had a good time on WWE over the last few months.
Gulak played a surprisingly big role in the feud between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey. He was humiliated by both participants in the rivalry, repeatedly in the case of Charlotte as the heel. There was no payoff to this angle as Gulak is back working in the ring, suffering back to back losses to Gunther.
On her latest Facebook live stream, Ronda Rousey talked about the match. Ronda said she made a pitch to involve Gulak in the match itself. It didn’t happen, but it was an interesting idea.
“It’s funny, I pitched him (Drew Gulak) getting involved, getting thwacked… I pitched him getting involved for the ‘I Quit’ match (at WrestleMania Backlash). Like running into him and thwacking (him).”
