Ortega vs Rodriguez Set for 5-Round Headliner At UFC Long Island
The headline bout for UFC’s Long Island card has been officially set and it’ll be a 5-round battle.
The UFC will be making it’s return to Long Island for the second time since their first event in 2017 when Brian Ortega steps in the octagon to fight Yair Rodriguez.
The first event held in Long Island for the UFC was headlined by Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum where Weidman was the victor in the 3rd round by arm-triangle choke submission.
Ortega and Rodriguez are coming off losses for this headliner bout, Ortega lost against the champion Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266 by unanimous decision and Rodriguez lost by unanimous decision against Max Holloway at UFC Vegas 42.
