Britt Baker Responds To Fans Telling Her To Kill Herself
Some fans go way too far.
It seems when it comes to professional wrestling, the women become targets for fans who wanted to spread vitriol and hatred. One competitor who faces a lot of criticism and hatred that is unwarranted is Dr Britt Baker of AEW. Baker has been a heel for most of her run in the company and has done a great job of drawing heat, particularly during her women’s title reign.
While speaking with Forbes, Britt Baker addressed haters who told her to end her life after she beat her opponents in a match. She also blasted the rampant toxicity on social media as well.
“I think people just go on to Twitter just to be heard in a negative way. They just want to say something nasty and hateful and mean, so they will go on to Twitter for literally no [other] reason and they just say it and make sure they tag you in it, too.
We’ve had people in the industry kill themselves over cyberbullying, and you’d think that that would be enough for people to wake up. Keep your mean thoughts to yourself.

Of course, we have heard of several suicides of professional wrestlers in the past, most notably Hana Kimura. Hopefully fans will begin to recognise that spreading this hate and pushing these incredulous statements isn’t funny and just makes them hatred fuelled nutjobs.
