AEW stars continue to show Cody Rhodes some love.
Wardlow has had a rise to the top of AEW that is unrivalled in terms of how it has been booked. MJF and Wardlow have both been fantastic with fans looking forward to the pair’s clash at AEW Double Or Nothing this Sunday.
While speaking during an AdFreeShows.com exclusive interview with Jon Alba, Wardlow talked about similarities between his situation and Cody Rhodes. Wardlow admitted that being in Rhodes’ shoes was a humbling moment.
“That is a humbling moment. That is very wild, that I am now in Cody’s shoes which are some big shoes to fill. That feels pretty damn good and I think, no disrespect, but I think Max and I are a hotter commodity than the previous storyline. I think it’s something to be proud of.”

Wardlow may be earmarked for a future world title reign at this point, but we will see what happens once his program with MJF ends and he moves on to other things in AEW.
