CM Punk Says He Wasted Ten Years In WWE

The new AEW World Champion isn’t mincing his words.

At AEW Double Or Nothing, CM Punk would win his first pro wrestling world title since 2013, ending an over nine year wait for more championship gold. Punk has stated repeatedly how at home he feels within the confines of All Elite Wrestling and has not been afraid to say it time and again.

While speaking during the post AEW Double Or Nothing media scrum, CM Punk talked about his frustrations with WWE. He noted how he had to fight silly battles there for 10 years, among other things.

”I feel the 10 years I spent in WWE were wasted because I feel it is management, owner, booker, whoever’s job it is to get the most out of the talent – I reached the potential that I could’ve given the limitations they constantly put on me. To me, you’re always trying to make the most money and put on the best possible show you can. It felt like 10 years of fighting silly battles and standing on my own d***. I feel here, there’s no limitation put on myself or anybody, the sky’s the limit. So I could feel that I could look.”

CM Punk Post DON Media Scrum

Time will tell how Punk’s AEW World Title reign will be similar to his WWE title reigns at the backend of Punk’s WWE tenure. What do you make of Punk’s comments? Let us know in the comment section and on our social media pages.
