Wardlow Thanks AEW, Tony Khan And The Fans Following AEW Double Or Nothing
Double Or Nothing 2022 is likely to hold up for years to come in terms of high quality professional wrestling and the show began with one of the most red hot storylines in professional wrestling as Wardlow faced MJF. There was added controversy to the match as MJF’s contract issues became the story for the match – with it unknown if MJF was actually going to show up.
Of course, MJF did show up and did the job he was supposed to do. While the match lasted under ten minutes, it was everything it was expected to be as after a short bit of pleading from MJF, Wardlow would decimate his former employer with over a dozen powerbombs. Wardlow would then pin MJF, earning himself an AEW contract in the process. In kayfabe anyway.
Wardlow took to Twitter on Monday and posted a thank you following the PPV:
Thank you Las Vegas. Thank you @AEW. Thank you @TonyKhan. And most importantly thank you to the fans. Time To Work. #LFG
