Paulo Costa could be in some big trouble.
The former Middleweight title contender is heading to court at a date we’ll have for you once it’s made available. Costa is being accused of elbowing a health care worker after she attempted to stop him from stealing a vaccine card due to not being vaccinated. This is according a report from Globo.com
Costa was taken into police custody before being released soon after, the health care worker stated “he wanted to be vaccinated” before he made claims saying he didn’t and that’s where the violence started.
The nurse didn’t need medical attention, told police her lips were swollen and according to one of the guards, there is no cameras in the application room.
Costa is scheduled to fight former Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 277 in July, but this could affect that from happening.
There will be a hearing in the near future before the Special Criminal Court of the municipality, we will keep you updated on the situation as we learn more on it.
