Cody Rhodes Could Miss Up To Half A Year With Injury
Cody Rhodes may be on the shelf for a while.
At Hell In A Cell last night we witnessed a fantastic showcase of grit and determination as Cody Rhodes would wrestling Seth Rollins with an injured right pectoral muscle. The bruising was incredibly gruesome, but Cody managed to tough out the match, putting in a great match with Rollins despite his injury.
The expected recovery time for an injury such as Cody’s is six months. More specifically, the typical recovery time for a torn pectoral muscle is six to nine months for athletes. Go Midwest Sports noted in their resources that many doctors discourage full physical activity before that time.
Over the course of 6 weeks the patient will regain full range of motion and strength training will begin at that time. Typically return to full strength and activity is in the 4-6 months range. However bench pressing is usually discouraged for 6-9 months

Time will tell if Cody will be on the shelf that long, but is set for surgery on Thursday. Rhodes will have the time to explain the injury on tonight’s WWE RAW.
