Adam Cole Not Expected To Compete Until Forbidden Door

The injury list continues to haunt fans.

Adam Cole has been on the shelf since Double Or Nothing where he defeated Samoa Joe to win the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. It was speculated his injury was related to his shoulder and he would need to rest and heal up. Now, it looks like Cole won’t be wrestling until later this month at Forbidden Door.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez had plenty of major injuries to discuss. With the huge Forbidden Door pay-per-view coming up and being followed just days later by Blood and Guts on Dynamite, AEW will need all hands on deck. Bryan said it sounds like Adam Cole should be ready to go by then.

“[I was told] … Probably no Cole until Forbidden Door. They’re going to let him rest up.”

Time will tell how long Cole will be on the shelf for but it would be a major shame if Cole had to miss the huge PPV. Cole has featured on commentary during Undisputed Elite matches while injured. What do you think? Is it smart for AEW to rest Adam Cole ahead of their biggest PPV in the companies history? Let us know in the comment section and on our social media pages!
