Mick Foley Thinks Kenny Omega Turning Down WWE Was Great For Business
Kenny Omega is one of the best wrestlers on the planet.
That much is undisputable. Since signing with AEW, Omega has been the longest reigning AEW World Champion and carried the company on his back during the global pandemic. Before that however, Kenny was on the radar of the WWE and despite lucrative offers, he would turn them down in favour of starting All Elite Wrestling.
While speaking on his podcast Foley is Pod, Mick Foley talked about the importance of having talent outside such as Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Foley stated that he believes Omega turning down an offer with WWE was great for business.
“The Young Bucks did it, Kenny Omega did it. Kenny didn’t have the national platform like a WCW, a WWE, but he did have an opportunity to go there and said ‘No, I’m good,’ and that’s great for business.”
