The UFC is finalizing a deal for Aljamain Sterling’s next Bantamweight title defense to be at UFC 279 at a location to be determined later.
TJ Dillashaw is expected to be next in line to fight Sterling for his Bantamweight championship, this was first reported by MMA Junkie’s Nolan King and Mike Bohn.
Sterling recently retained against Petr Yan at UFC 273, prior to that has stacked wins against Cory Sandhagen, Pedro Munhoz and and Jimmie Rivera.
Dillashaw returned from a two-year hiatus due to USADA suspension, defeated Sandhagen upon returning by split decision and waited for the right time to get a shot at winning his 3rd Bantamweight title.
