Stephanie McMahon isn’t messing around with her new role within the WWE.
It was announced early on Friday morning by the WWE that Vince McMahon would be stepping away from his CEO and Chairman responsibilities within the WWE amid an investigation by the WWE board. In the interim, Stephanie McMahon has been appointed the temporary CEO. Stephanie returns to the company following a hiatus that was me with much controversy.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics posted to Twitter, revealing that Stephanie had sent a message to WWE Staff in the wake of this morning’s announcement:
“I will be returning from my leave of absence and assuming the role of interim Chairwoman and CEO.”
“I love our company and am excited to continue to work with our President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan and our Chief Financial & Administrative Officer Frank Riddick. “And of course, I look forward to working with all of you. My door is always open.”

While Vince steps away from CEO and Chairman responsibilities he will remain part of the WWE creative process. Time will tell how long Stephanie will be in the role as CEO, but she looks to be starting it off right with an open door policy.
