WWE apparently don’t think Sasha Banks are as special as the rest of the wrestling world.
Sasha Banks has had an incredible career in the WWE since debuting with the promotion. She has been successful on all 3 brands and while she has never won the Royal Rumble or Money In The Bank Briefcase, she has been a pivotal player into how the WWE have improved their booking with regards to women’s wrestling. At this moment in time, it is believed that Banks has been released from her WWE contract, but neither Banks or WWE have confirmed this as of this writing.
While speaking on The Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, Andrew Zarian stated that Sasha Banks is seen as someone replaceable who can be ‘cloned.’
In their minds, they could clone Sasha with somebody else and have her fit that role, and no problem. It’s now a role you’re playing. It’s a role with mid-level actors. Everybody’s a mid-level actor, except for a Roman Reigns, or a Brock Lesnar, or a Cody Rhodes. Those guys are the stars.”

It is unlikely that ‘any’ other talent could capture the superstar feeling that The Legit Boss brought to her WWE character. While she may not be able to use the Sasha Banks name if she leaves the WWE, she will no doubt be a star wherever she decides to go.
