Jeff Hardy Remorseful And “Hates Himself” Following Latest DUI Arrest
It may be time to turn down the hate on a majorly beloved star.
Jeff Hardy is one of the most over pro wrestlers of all time due to his high risk lifestyle and in ring spots. Hardy is a master of stunt work, going through some incredible leaps as part of his daredevil nature. With that nature comes pain and injuries and Jeff has had issues with substance abuse in the past. Earlier this week, Jeff was arrested for his third DUI and since, the wrestling world have been holding him accountable, despite his status as a beloved star of the past.
On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy with Jon Alba, Matt detailed his own struggles with addiction and mental health throughout the years and spoke about Jeff’s current situation.
“After speaking to Jeff, the last couple of days, he is so remorseful, so embarrassed, he like hates himself. That’s a part of it, too. He has to know, obviously what he did was atrocious and terrible, terrible decision making, but he has to know that people love him. It’s very important. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the individual. You have to keep yourself in check and be on top of yourself. You are the only person that can really ensure that you’re not going to go array or in a bad direction, whether it’s because of mental or addiction issues. If you don’t decide to do it on your own, you’re going to kind of half-ass it and you don’t get any positivity or productivity out of it,”

Jeff will have to undergo treatment in order to return to his job with AEW, as Tony Khan previously announced Jeff has been indefinitely suspended until that time. Hopefully this will lead to Hardy getting the help he so desperately needs.
