Penta Oscuro Will Put His Mask On The Line In Ruleta De La Muerte Final
Penta Oscuro is known for his action packed style and daredevil like ability in a tag team with his brother, Rey Fenix (Lucha Bros). But, he is also know by his mask, like many Luchadors are.
AAA has ran a tournament called the Ruleta De La Muerta Mask vs Mask Tournament, where the losers advance and in the finals, the two losers will compete with the final losers having to remove his mask. This will take place this October at TripleMania XXX in Mexico City. The semi finals ended last night after TripleMania: Tijuana.
The finals of the tournament will be Penta Oscuro vs Villano IV. This marks the first time these two will go head-to-head in singles competition, though they’ve previously competed in many tag team, trios & multi-man matches as both opponents and partners. This Mask vs Mask match marks the third time Penta has put his mask on the line and the thirteenth time Villano IV has defended his. Losing your mask is big in Lucha Libre culture, but for one of these guys, that’s the reality come October.
Before Penta even has to think about losing his mask, he has a tall task ahead of him this Wednesday as he takes on a Malakai Black in a semi-finals match to advance to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV to compete for the AEW All Atlantic Championship.
