Kenny Omega has not wrestled in a AEW ring since the 2021 Full Gear PPV. He has had a series of injuries including his back and dealing with vertigo that he stepped away to get treated.
Kenny Omega took to Twitter to reminisce on a old AEW Dark Match he had with Joey Janela, claiming “They just don’t do em’ like that anymore”, but then also let everyone know that he also can’t either. The tweet is as followed:
Seemingly, Kenny Omega was alluding to his injuries and how he just isn’t the same in the ring anymore. It’s unclear when Kenny Omega will return to the ring, but when he does, we will see if he’s a lesser version of himself. But, it’s doubtful with the performances he put on while injured, we can only imagine what a healthy Kenny Omega looks like.
