Forbidden Door is coming up this Sunday with the stars of AEW and the stars of NJPW coming together as one.
As reported yesterday, Jon Moxley sat down for a interview with his wife to talk about his battle with alcoholism and a multitude of topics. While speaking on a new episode of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Jon talked aboutForbidden Door, comparing it to a DC x Marvel Crossover.
It occurred to me that wrestling is so much like the comic book universe in that, there’s beloved characters that can go any number of ways. One character might get brought in as a villain for a one-off and “get over” and then he ends up being a babyface with his own comic book line… some of them might team up, Forbidden Door is almost going to be like a crossover series between like DC and Marvel or something. There are so many comparisons between that world, and the fans, have you ever been to a Comic Con? Holy s**t it’s the same type of thing.

It’s a good comparison, two powerhouses in their own lanes coming together for one big event. Forbidden Door is live this Sunday headlined by Jon Moxley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi for the AEW interim World Championship.
