Tony Khan Has Not Approved FTR For ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’
Ric Flair’s last match is set to take place at Starrcast weekend on July 31st. But, it’s still unknown who his opponent(s) will be.
There was rumors that FTR could potentially involved in the match, but according to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, Tony has not approved that as of now.
We’re told the working plan is a tag team match, and there are names in mind, but we haven’t gained word that anything has been finalized. The working plan was for Steamboat and the Rock N’ Roll Express to take on FTR and Flair. However, we’re told there were several hurdles in the way. Also, FTR had yet to gain clearance for the match from AEW Founder Tony Khan
