The former Jordan Devlin returned to NXT a week early.
JD McDonagh has had several vignettes over the last few weeks and the one that aired at The Great American Bash suggested McDonagh would be debuting in NXT 2.0 next week. However, that did not end up being the case as he would attack Bron Breakker at the conclusion of the show.
Time will tell if McDonagh will become the new NXT Champion, but he certainly appears to be next for Bron Breakker.
