Paige Is Overwhelmed With Gratitude For AJ Lee Upon Her WWE Contract Expiring, Calls Her “Her Fairy Godmother”

During her WWE career, if you were to pick one name that was Paige’s biggest rival within the company during her in ring career, it would be AJ Lee. The two feuded upon Paige’s main roster call-up and would tag together at WrestleMania 31.

Paige penned an emotional goodbye to the WWE in The Players Tribune on Wednesday and expressed gratitude to AJ:

Gratitude to people like A.J. — what an absolute badass she is. But she’s also so sweet and so thoughtful. I remember the first time we went on the road back to England, she got me this pair of Doc Martens with a Union Jack on the toe. Those little things that make someone feel cared about … that’s A.J. for you. I used to call her “my fairy godmother.”

Paige will be leaving the WWE upon her contract expiring on July 7th, so we may see the pair somewhere else at some point but for now, Paige is grateful for how AJ helped shape her WWE career.
