The ACT for ALS bill has been officially passed through Congress.
This announcement hits home in the professional wrestling world because AEW’s Rebel aka Tanea Brooks is currently battling ALS and has been a vocal advocate for this bill. AEW as an organization has also been promoting the ALS organization as well. We must not forget that the late WCW superstar Steve “Mongo” McMichael passed away in April 2025 due to this disease.
The announcement was officially made today that the ACT for ALS bill has passed through congress.
The following was posted on the I Am ALS Instagram Account:
“ACT for ALS passed—with one day to spare!
Thanks to the I AM ALS community’s leadership and relentless advocacy, ACT for ALS passed Congress by unanimous consent yesterday.
This bill would have expired tomorrow if not for your emails, calls, meetings with your legislators, petition signatures, and consistent demands to renew this critical ALS legislation.
THANK YOU for securing this win for the ALS community. Now, please join us in thanking our ALS congressional champions for making this possible: bit.ly/A4A-TY

Take a look below at what this movement was able to accomplish by the numbers. The advocacy for this is heartwarming.
It’s always great to see the country come together to achieve something that is truly in the best interest of everyone who is faced with the unthinkable.
We here at Bodyslam.net would like to send best wishes to all who are affected by this terrible disease.
