AEW Forbidden Door is back and it’s coming June 28, 2026 live from San Jose, California at the SAP Center. The event will not only feature stars from AEW, but also wrestlers from CMLL, New Japan Pro Wrestling & STARDOM.

Mercury News, a California based news channel, was first to announce the event. This will be the fifth anniversary of AEW Forbidden Door, where dream matches come alive! Premium Seating Early Access begins Tuesday, April 21 at 10am ET, in addition to tickets going on sale on Monday, April 27.

In years past, we’ve seen the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Zack Sabre Jr and even Stephanie Vaquer walk through the Forbidden Door. Who will end up kicking the door down this year? We’ll soon find out! Forbidden Door will be live on Pay-Per-View and available for purchase on HBO Max.

AEW’s relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling and STARDOM have spanned years, since AEW’s inception. Then, in recent years, we’ve see a partnership with AEW and CMLL which has landed talent with dual contracts such as Hechicero, Mascara Dorada, Mistico, Persephone, Thunder Rosa and Claudio Castagnoli.

This partnership has seen these talent often compete on each others shows. But, there’s a good chance some new CMLL talent step into an AEW ring for the first time this June.
