Alex Shelley believes this match would work perfectly in the WWE if they ran with the idea.
While speaking with Fox News Digital in a new interview, the team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (The Motor City Machine Guns) were asked about the possibility of WWE potentially using a couple gimmick matches that TNA had used over the years.
The duo gave their own answer on what match they’d like to see be brought in to the WWE.
“Man, I’ve never thought about King of the Mountain. I think that’s a good idea. I love King of the Mountain.” – Shelley noted.
“Myself, I would like to take my name of the hat for Ultimate X matches because I lost count of how many I’ve done – north of 20. So, I’ve done plenty of those. Had my fill of those matches.” – Sabin said.
Sabin and Shelley have been teaming up since August, 2006, their first time teaming up was at Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max in Japan where the two would go on to win the International Lightweight Tag Team Championships.
They have won Tag Team Championships in nearly every prominent and major wrestling company from TNA, NJPW, ROH, and many others throughout their 20-years as one of the greatest tag teams around the world
