AEW could attempt to hold Adam Copeland’s retirement match in Toronto, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
One source suggested the promotion would likely make an effort to arrange the match in the Canadian city. No date, opponent or location has been finalized.
Copeland previously expressed a desire to conclude his career in Toronto, making the city a natural possibility now that he has announced his retirement plans.
The 52-year-old revealed Wednesday that 2027 will be his final year as an active wrestler. His announcement came after he defeated Josh Alexander on Dynamite to qualify for the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream.
Copeland began wrestling in the early 1990s and built his Hall of Fame career in WWE under the name Edge. He joined AEW in 2023 after completing his second WWE run.
For now, Toronto remains a possible destination rather than a confirmed plan for his final match.
