    Ricochet’s AEW Journey Redefines Himself and His Career

    Ricochet’s run in All Elite Wrestling feels fresh, sharp and impossible to overlook. Once known mainly for his highlight-reel ability, he has grown into one of the most complete performers in the business today. His earlier stops in NJPW and WWE showcased his athleticism, but his debut at AEW All In Wembley in 2024 marked a true shift in direction.

    Since that moment, Ricochet has reshaped how he is viewed. The in-ring brilliance has always been there, but now it is paired with confidence, presence and purpose. He no longer feels like a performer trying to stand out. He feels like one that can lead the show.

    AEW Fight for the Fallen.                                        

    His rivalry with Swerve Strickland played a major role in that transformation. That specific program pushed him to another level, bringing out the Ricochet many believed had always been there. On the January 1, 2025, episode of Fight for the Fallen, Ricochet viciously attacked and bloodied Strickland with a pair of scissors, cementing his heel turn. To make matters worse, on the February 5 episode of Dynamite, Ricochet defeated Strickland and proceeded to steal the Embassy robe bestowed upon Strickland by Prince Nana in honor of  Embassy member Jimmy Rave. Feuds of this caliber also gave him the opportunity to talk on the mic.

    For years, Ricochet carried the stigma that he could not cut a promo. Whether it was  brought up in feuds, or from the basement dwellers on the internet, that label was always attached. That label now feels misplaced—gone.  In AEW, he has found a voice that connects. His delivery is sharper, more confident and far more natural. As a heel, the reaction from the crowd is all it takes to know you got it. It is hard to ignore the contrast with his time in WWE, where his character often felt restricted and carefully managed—like there was a leash on at all times.

    That difference is clear today. In AEW, Ricochet has the freedom to define himself. He is no longer boxed into one dimension. It’s no longer “go out there and do some flips!” He is evolving in real time, and the results speak for themselves.

    That evolution has led to his emergence as one of the top heels in professional wrestling. Ricochet has embraced the role, adding layers to his character while maintaining the dynamic style that made him special in the first place. The reaction from crowds reflects that shift. He is not just respected, ( the internet will tell you otherwise ) he is a focal point. Whether it’s hundreds of rolls of toilet paper being thrown into the ring, chants of “BALD!”, or the deafening “shut the f*ck up!”, it is obvious that what Ricochet is doing is working.

    Along side his character work, Ricochet’s rise reached another level when he became the inaugural AEW National Champion. The moment served as both recognition and validation. It confirmed that Ricochet is not just thriving, he is essential—proof that he is thought highly of to Tony Khan, and his peers.

    Most importantly, this run feels like a revival. The move to AEW has not only elevated his career, but it seems to have restored his passion. There is a clear energy in everything he does, a sense that he is fully invested in his craft again.

    Ricochet is no longer defined by what he was. In AEW, he has become what many believed he could be all along.

    Kevin Knight: I Want To Defend The TNT Championship Against Speedball Mike Bailey

    Kevin Knight would love to battle his brother for his TNT Championship.

    After the news broke that Kyle Fletcher would have to vacate the TNT Championship, the announcement was made that the now vacated gold would be held in a Casino Gauntlet in Vancouver at AEW Dynasty with Tommaso Ciampa and RUSH being the first two involved.

    In the end, Kevin Knight would capitalize on the opportunity with a splash on Daniel Garcia and the pin to secure the victory and be crowned the new TNT Champion, his first singles title in his pro wrestling career.

    During the media scrum for AEW Dynasty, Knight spoke about the pressure it was going to bring to be the face of the TNT division, but that he was prepared for anyone, including his own tag team partner, Speedball Mike Bailey.

    “Well, this being my first singles (title) ever, whether it’s on the indies, in New Japan and AEW, so for the fact that it happened on the anniversary of my pay-per-view debut here in AEW, a year later, with my tag team partner in the match, it certainly means a lot for me to be the new face of TNT. It’s a lot of pressure but I think The Jet is built for it. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. It’s so crazy because me and ‘Speedball’ are a tag team but we’ve won trios, we’ve won singles so, I think this is the next thing between us and being tag champs in the future so, I think it’s a great step in the right direction.”

    “This is a team win for me and ‘Speedball’ (Mike Bailey). I’ve known him before I got here, and we’ve had great chemistry. He only wants the best for me. I only want the best for him, and I would love to defend this against my tag team partner if you (Tony Khan) would allow it. If we can set something up because me and ‘Speedball,’ we bring the best out of each other. Any time we get together, it’s like brothers just going at it, cousins just going at it so, we love to go at it.”

    Before the two can make that happen, Knight will have to get through Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Dynamite’s Spring BreakThru show on Wednesday, April 15.

    Megan Bayne Emerging As AEW Women’s Division Star

    All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division features a mix of emerging talent and established stars, making any “next up” discussion a crowded one. Even so, one name continues to separate from the pack. Megan Bayne looks ready for that defining moment. It’s not if she reaches the AEW Women’s World Championship, it’s when, and when she does, she has the profile to hold it for an extended stretch.

    The Megasus

    Bayne is currently one half of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, teaming with Lena Kross as Divine Dominion. The pair captured the titles in March, giving Bayne her first championship in AEW a little more than a year after joining the roster in February 2025.

    Her presence stands out immediately. Listed at 5-foot-11 and 187 pounds, Bayne carries a size and intensity that few in the division can match. She projects dominance before the bell rings, with a look and style that feel built for main-event moments. The facial expressions, the gear, the body language, she has the complete sense of presentation locked in.

    Bayne’s experience also adds to her case. From dominating intergender matches to winning independent championships and creating viral moments, she has built quite the resume. She is approaching 10 years in the ring, yet has not fully broken through as a top champion on a major stage, yet. Most wrestlers at 27 are very green and inexperienced. That is not the case for Megan.

    With the right direction, Bayne has the tools to anchor the division as champion. Her in-ring work continues to impress, and while her microphone skills are still developing, that gap is not uncommon and can be addressed through presentation and creative support. AEW has shown it can elevate talent into credible contenders, giving audiences a reason to invest in their rise. Many top talents in the industry have made their name in AEW, and she looks to be no different.

    The broader landscape of women’s wrestling has shifted. The days of bra and panty matches are dead. There are no longer matches booked purely on sex appeal. The females are able to show their true talents, and that they have just as much skill as the men, if not even more. Matches now are longer, the competition is deeper, and expectations are higher. While booking can still improve, performers like Bayne make a strong argument for more consistent placement in headline spots. You simply cannot deny or ignore women of her caliber, making main events inevitable.

    Final Thoughts

    At 27, Bayne’s trajectory points upward and beyond. She is setting the standard of what the women’s division of the future will be. It is no longer a question of if she becomes a world champion, but how often she reaches that level.

    AEW Dynasty was live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. The event was headlined by MJF versus Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship and also featured a Casino Gauntlet to crown a new AEW TNT Champion after the gold was recently vacated.

    AEW Dynasty: MJF Retains AEW World Championship

    In the main event of AEW Dynasty, it’s the God of pro wrestling versus the Devil. MJF put his AEW World Championship on the line against Kenny Omega in what was generally billed as The Devil versus The God, due to the names bestowed upon each man, despite MJF giving himself the Devil name.

    Nonetheless, this is a match many All Elite Wrestling fans have been waiting for, and the feud has been heated up with MJF targeting Kenny Omega’s diverticulitis issues, both physically and mentally. But, Kenny Omega claims to be 100% and he’s ready to regain not only the AEW Championship, but the top billing from MJF.

    Early on, MJF was seemingly surprised at Kenny’s 100% heath rate, and even had to go into the crowd to take a breather. Eventually, the action spilled to ringside and it was clear, Kenny Omega is good to go and he’s here to fight.

    As Kenny Omega introduced some weapons into the match, MJF immediately wanting things back in the ring. MJF used some dirty tactics to get himself back in control as he fought to retain his gold.

    Kenny Omega, as we know, isn’t a slouch and he had an answer to everything MJF had to offer. These two were giving it their all, including a disgusting knee from Omega that had MJF on the ropes.

    Omega even pulled out a little nod to Kota Ibushi and hit the corner spring Moonsault. Both MJF and Kenny Omega tried to pull out all the stops. But, in the end, MJF used his Dynamite Diamond Ring and punched Kenny in the stomach before tombstone’ing him through a table for the win.

    AEW Dynasty: Kyle O’Reilly Returns, Wins Trios Championships

    The Dogs (Clark Connors, David Finlay & Gabe Kidd) have been running a muck on the AEW roster, but most of all, the Conglomeration. They’ve taken out every member they could, but they haven’t been able to take down Orange Cassidy. Then, Roderick Strong made a return and helped Orange battle off this pack of dogs.

    Meanwhile, The Dogs went and won the AEW Trios Championships just last night, which only solidified their destruction over AEW. But, the conglomeration has had enough, and they wanted a trios match for their championships. Yet, it’s only two of them. Or is it?

    Last week, Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong said they’d have a partner for Dynasty, and it was reported by BodyslamPlus.Net earlier in the day that the partner would be a returning Kyle O’Reilly. And that it was.

    Kyle O’Reilly is Canadian born, and that made his return that much sweeter for the home country crowd. But, Kyle wasn’t walking into some easy task. The Dogs were ready to bite.

    Early on in the match, Gabe Kidd was injured and was taken out through the crowd with medial assistance. This left Clark and Finlay stuck in a two-on-three situation.

    The Dogs were then taken to the limit and couldn’t contend with the numbers advantage. Kyle O’Reilly was able to lock in an ankle lock and get the tap. Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong & Orange Cassidy, The Conglomeration, are the new AEW Trios Champions!

    AEW Dynasty: Jon Moxley Retains AEW Continental Championship

    One of the most personal feuds came full speed ahead tonight at AEW Dynasty when Jon Moxley defended his AEW Continental Championship against Will Ospreay. Six months ago, Moxley put Ospreay on the shelf by crushing his neck in his home country, in front of his family and making him have to receive surgery.

    Now, Will Ospreay is back and he’s back with a vengeance. Not only is Ospreay looking to take Moxley’s championship, he’s looking to injury him, just like he was. And this match tonight got off to a very quick start.

    Ospreay immediately ran at Moxley after the opening bell and nailed his signature hidden blade, dropping Jon Moxley. Instead of going for the cover, Ospreay did the exact same move again, and yelled to the crowd that he wanted to take his time.

    This was a slight slip for the challenger, as taking his time allowed Moxley to gain his consciousness and battle back. As the match went on, both men were bringing the heat. This was a physical encounter, to say the least.

    Jon Moxley ended up hitting a pile-driver on the steel steps that really had Will Ospreay down and hurting. Moxley followed up with a paradigm shift and a death rider to end it. Jon Moxley retains the AEW Continental Championship in devastating fashion.

    AEW Dynasty: Thekla Retains AEW Women’s World Championship

    Thekla put her AEW Women’s World Championship in the line against Jamie Hayter at AEW Dynasty tonight. These two have been going back and forth for a while, with Thekla really ramping things up. Thekla has made many enemies in AEW alongside her Triangle Of Madness partners, Julia and Skye Blue. Interfering in each other’s matches, we’re just being disrespectful on the microphone, the self proclaimed toxic spider has the entire AW women’s division on their toes.

    But, it was Jamie Hayter who stepped up and Puffed her chest out at this toxic bully, gaining herself a championship match, trying to capture the gold she once held. The match kicked off with a fast pace. Both ladies were laying it in early.

    The match made its way to the outside and eventually up the entrance ramp, where Thekla drilled Hayter with a devastating DDT. As the action spilled back towards the ring, Jamie’s Hayter was fighting from underneath to gain back control.

    The physicality in this match caught up to both women, but it seemed to affect Hayter a little more, as she struggled to stay on her feet. In the end, Thekla was as toxic as ever, rolling up Hayter and holding onto the rope for the win.

    After the match, Alex Windsor made her presence known and tried to tell the referee that Thekla grabbed the rope. But, he didn’t see and the decision is final. Thekla has retained the AEW Women’s World Championship!

    AEW Dynasty: Kevin Knight Becomes AEW TNT Champion

    The vacant AEW TNT Championship was on the line tonight in a Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Dynasty. The championship became vacant in recent weeks when former champion Kyle Fletcher was injured, and forced to give up the belt. While we wish Kyle the best in his recovery, it’s officially time to crown a new king.

    In this match, competitors enter different intervals. The match can end at any time by pinfall or submission, regardless of how many men enter the ring. Last week, Tommaso Ciampa and RUSH won their respective matches to become number one and number two in the match.

    While RUSH and Ciampa started it out, Bandido was entrant number three, who came in about four minutes after the starting bell. Following Bandido was entrant number four, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

    The action was fast and furious, with all four guys quickly flying around the ring and trying to get the victory before another opponent entrant. But, in came number five, El Clon. This was followed by number six, the Death Riders own, PAC!

    PAC was on fire entering this match, giving the fight to everyone currently in the ring. But, he was unable to get the victory before the next entry, number seven, Daniel Garcia. Now, Garcia is another member of the Death Riders, giving them an advantage in this match with both Daniel and PAC.

    Anthony Bowens was entrant number eight, followed by at Kevin Knight at number nine. This gave Mike Bailey an advantage as Kevin and Bailey together are “JetSpeed”. Naturally, JetSpeed and the Death Riders went after each other as the two tag teams in this match.

    Bandido almost had a win with a very close pin on Ciampa, but it was broken up. Here comes entrant ten, another Death Rider member, Wheeler Yuta. Then, Clon and Bandido took everyone out.

    In the end, Daniel Garcia, Tommaso Ciampa and Daniel Garcia all looked to have the win in an arms reach, but it was Kevin Knight who pulled out the victory and is the NEW TNT Champion!

    AEW Dynasty: FTR Retain The AEW World Tag Team Championships

    One of the most heated rivalries coming into AEW Dynasty has been FTR versus Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. Ever since FTR turned on their former friends months ago, they’ve been nothing but a thorn in their side. FTR even went as far as attacking Adam Copeland and his wife, Beth Phoenix, injuring them both and disrespecting his family every chance they had.

    But, upon Adam Copeland and Christian Cage’s returns at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view in March, the legendary duo made it clear that they’d take what means most to FTR and that’s the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Plus, Cage and Copeland get an extra advantage as the Canadian born tag team get their championship shot at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.

    This matched started out fast, as Adam Copeland immediately went after one half of FTR in Cash Wheeler with a barrage of strikes. This kicked things off, and it only amped up from there.

    At one point, Adam Copeland was hit hard when he took a championship belt to the head, and it busted him open badly. But, the ever so resilient legend continued to battle through the pain. Christian on the other hand, was not 100% either as FTR targeted an injured arm, which he favored most of the match.

    In the end, Copeland tried for his signature spread on Cash, but it was reversed into FTR’s shatter machine, which allowed the AEW Tag Team Champions to retain.
