  • Randy Orton Wants To Retire With More Gold Than Anyone Else

Randy Orton Wants To Retire With More Gold Than Anyone Else

Randy Orton is set to headline Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 on Saturday night. On that event, he will challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Randy Orton is already a 14 time world champion. But now, he’s closing in on becoming a 15 time world champion and inching closer to beating John Cena’s 17 world championship reigns. When asked by Wade Barrett what he’s driven by, it was of course, legacy.

”Oh, I’m driven by legacy, Wade. But, I think that everything in life, especially everything here, has at least a little bit of personal to it. I mean, everything’s person for me. When you come down to it, you look at the history of Cody and I, and it’s every bit personal. Our history, I don’t know if I have a history with any other WWE Superstar more than I have with Cody Rhodes. But, in this particular moment, what’s driving me is legacy because I realize, Wade, that nothing lasts forever. I want to rack up as many points as I can on the board before the time comes that I hang up the boots. Next thing on the list for me to accomplish is that 15th world championship. Then, I beat Triple H. And then I’ve got Ric Flair and John Cena in my sights. My goal is to leave this company one day, with more world championship gold around my waist than any other competitor that has ever stepped foot into a WWE ring.”

Randy Orton gets one step closer to that if he can defeat Cody Rhodes this Saturday night. If he can do that, he’s on the path to having the greatest legacy in WWE history.

  • Oba Femi: I’m Stronger Than I Even Know Sometimes

Oba Femi: I’m Stronger Than I Even Know Sometimes

Oba Femi is headed into his first WrestleMania and has the biggest match of his life, both mentally and physically.

On night 2 of WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi will kick off the night by going toe to toe with Brock Lesnar. These two behemoths have been on a collision course for weeks, and it’s about to explode in two days time.

Before the clash, Oba Femi sat down for a special inside look on WWE’s YouTube channel. It was there, where he revealed that he’s stronger than he even knows.

“I’m stronger than I even know sometimes. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. I’m stronger than a lot of people because I lived life on hard mode in Nigeria. When I was coming up, things were tough. It was a harder life than it should’ve been.”

Oba went on to reveal that as a kid, he used to watch bootleg DVDs to see his favorite wrestlers.

”My all-time favorite is Triple H, The Undertaker, the aura surrounding those men, they just seemed so grand. It was their larger than life personality.”

Now, Oba Femi is that larger than life character to the fans in 2026. And he’ll be on the grandest stage of them all, looking to use all that strength and the hardships, ball it up into whatever he can to slay the beast, Brock Lesnar.  But, that’s no easy task.

“I have this undying motivation to win. I’ve been in that winning mindset for so long now, that I’ve like kind of lost that underdog feel. But, that’s also a part of the reason why Brock Lesnar standing across from me, is such a big deal. Because, he would be my most recent thing to overcome. This is the highest challenge I’ve ever had in front of me.”

Now, all that’s left to do is get ready for the fight of his life. You can see the full inside look on Oba Femi in the video below.

  • WWE Makes Major Changes To WrestleMania 42 Stage Setup

WWE Makes Major Changes To WrestleMania 42 Stage Setup

As they say in pro wrestling, “plans change.”

WrestleMania 42 is set to take place on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday April 19th from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Just days before “The Showcase of the Immortals,” it appears that WWE has decided to make some major changes to the planned WrestleMania 42 Stage.

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE has decided to make some major changes that will greatly impact the planned set up for the WrestleMania 42 stage. The new setup will now have WWE seating fans directly on the WrestleMania stage, which will in turn see the pyrotechnics moved behind the stage. In addition, the new setup will feature seating on both sides and have a central entrance aisle. Thus changing WWE Superstar entrances and overall show visuals.

The reported changes should make the setup for this year’s WrestleMania 42 stage noticeably different from last year’s WrestleMania 41 stage, both of which were held in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We will keep you updated here at Bodyslam.net if more information or leaked images of the WrestleMania 42 stage and ring area becomes available.

  • Cody Rhodes Says Old School Locker Rooms Were “Far More Naked”

Cody Rhodes Says Old School Locker Rooms Were “Far More Naked”

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes continues his media push ahead of WrestleMania 42, and during a recent appearance on the Your Mom’s House podcast, he offered a candid, and very on-brand, take on how locker room culture has changed across generations.

Speaking openly, Rhodes admitted he’s somewhat removed from today’s locker room environment due to his current status. But gave his thoughts on which locker room was more naked, the Old School locker room or the Modern locker room.

“This sounds pretentious, but I haven’t been in the locker room in a while because I have a bus. I have my own little locker room. I don’t know if the modern locker room is as naked as the old school locker room. My dad [Dusty Rhodes], there are all these stories, because he was also the booker of the show, so you’d come to have and ask, ‘What’s the finish?’ He’s famous for always being in his cowboy boots and naked while telling them [the finish]. Everyone has a story. They were a far more naked bunch. I think that nakedness was a disarming tactic. I think the locker room has got to be naked. I’ll go ahead and say that.”

Rhodes pointed to stories about his father, Dusty Rhodes, as a defining example of the old-school environment, one that was far less polished and far more unpredictable than today’s structured WWE setting.

While modern locker rooms are more segmented, with top stars often operating in private spaces, the territory-era culture thrived on chaos, camaraderie, and, apparently, a lack of modesty.

Rhodes’ comments underline how much the business has evolved, even as its personalities and traditions continue to echo through generations. And in classic wrestling fashion, it’s those larger-than-life stories that still resonate.

With WrestleMania 42 approaching, Rhodes remains front and center, not just as champion, but as a bridge between wrestling’s past and present.

Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 on Saturday Night, April 18th.

  • Rhea Ripley: It’s Hard Going On Twitter, It’s Negative Towards Me Even Though They Don’t Know Who The Hell I Am

Rhea Ripley: It’s Hard Going On Twitter, It’s Negative Towards Me Even Though They Don’t Know Who The Hell I Am

Rhea Ripley comments on the online discourse she has faced throughout the course of her career.

Whether it’s Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media platform, the comments left by “fans” of pro wrestling have been targeted towards Rhea Ripley, whether it’s how she portrays her character on WWE TV or who she is off-screen when she is spending time with her husband, pets, and friends.

Recently, Ripley made an appearance where she spoke to Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle on Pod Meets World and opened up more about how she developed an eating disorder because of the horrible things said about her.

“It goes through waves where it’s really difficult and then sometimes really easy. This past year has been really difficult because I find that if my circle at home isn’t at peace, then that’s when I really struggle. That’s why I try to surround myself with people that I know are there for me and care for me. That’s my strong point. My husband [Buddy Matthews] is my strong point. My dogs are my strong point. My friend Tommy, who is always at our house every day, he’s my strong point. We work out together and it’s a positive environment. It’s really hard going onto Twitter. I need to delete that. It’s hard going on and trying to make it a work environment, but then, because it is a work environment, I get all these things coming up on my For You page. As soon as I click on the app, it’s negative towards me. I can’t even escape it or doomscroll like a normal human without seeing things about me, about my body, about my booking, about me as a human, even though they don’t know who the hell I am. It does get really tiring, but that’s also why I like to share what I’m going through.

“I tried to keep the whole eating disorder quiet for a while because I’m still figuring it out. I try to be as vocal with my struggles as possible because if it’s going to help someone, then why not talk about it? I needed that when I was going through stuff as a kid. If I knew my idols were going through these struggles and they are powering through and being amazing, and I look up to them and think they are strong and larger than life, then I can get through it too. That’s why I’m vocal about what I’m going through. With this whole eating situation, it definitely stems from stress and not being in control. That’s my biggest thing. I’m a very in control person. I like being in control of a lot of things. When I can’t control work and my schedule, and at the time, my home life with one of my now ex-friends just terrorizing my life. Going to Australia and not being able to control how the crowd responds to my peers and pressuring them 24/7 and getting thrown into all this media for that, it was a lot all at once, and it kind of broke me for a little bit, but it wasn’t seen by everyone yet. Now, it’s being seen by everyone. I saw so many things. ‘She had to lose weight because of her back pain.’ ‘She’s off the roids.’ We get tested. I’m not on anything.”

Ripley is set to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42 on Sunday night.
