WrestleMania: Jacob Fatu Beats Drew McIntyre With Unsanctioned Rules

Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu finally got to collide in an Unsanctioned Match at Wrestlemania 42 night one. And it took no time to kick the match off.

Fatu dove on McIntyre before he was even able to get into the ring, and from there, the chaos started. Weapons were introduced fast, and things got violent.

A table, a toolbox, a cellphone and even the referee’s belt were introduced into the match, along with a plethora of other weapons. These two kicked out of everything their opponent had to offer.

In the end, they both put each other through tales, but it was Jacob Fatu with the Moonsault through the wood that got Jacob the WrestleMania win!

Logan Paul Turns On iShowSpeed At WrestleMania

Logan Paul and Speed are no longer friends after the opening of WrestleMania 42 night one. They went into Saturday’s six-man tag team match as partners, alongside Austin Theory, to battle The Usos and LA Knight, but, they ended as enemies.

LA Knight and The Usos defeated iShowSpeed, Logan Paul and Austin Theory in the opening match and after it was over, Logan blamed Speed for the loss. He then punched him in the face and dropped him in the ring!

Logan Paul then tried to put Speed through the announcers table at ringside, but The Usos and LA Knight made the save. The Usos then encouraged to iShowSpeed to put Logan through the table, and that he did!

Wrestlemania: The Usos And LA Knight Pick Up The Win

WrestleMania 42 night one kicked off with LA Knight, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso versus The Vision, Logan Paul, Austin Theory and iShowSpeed.

Though Speed is the least experienced in this match, he started against LA Knight. He showed off his physical abilities early until he got clothes-lined, by LA Knight. He then quickly tagged out, of course.

Speed had a solid showing in this match, but it was surprisingly short. In the end, LA Knight pushed Theory into Speed, which knocked him down. Then, LA hit the BFT on Theory for the win.

After the match, Logan Paul was furious with Speed and dropped him with a punch. Logan then tried to put him through the announcers table, but the Uso’s save Speed and then iShowSpeed put Logan through the announcers table with a big splash!

  • WWE Denies Media Access to ESPN’s Andreas Hale

WWE Denies Media Access to ESPN’s Andreas Hale

A decision to deny credentialed media access to a major event can have ripple effects far beyond a single newsroom. That concern came into focus today when longtime combat sports journalist Andreas Hale took to social media to announce that he had been blocked from covering WrestleMania 42, despite the established relationship with WWE and its premium live event distribution partner ESPN.

    WWE Blocks ESPN Reporter

    Andreas Hale via X.Com

“I will not be covering WrestleMania 42 for ESPN,” Hale wrote via X. “WWE denied my credentials and blocked my access. Neither I nor ESPN has been told why. You can speculate on the reasons, but if you want answers, ask WWE. Let me know what they tell you.”

For large companies, restricting access to journalists or media outlets can undermine credibility at a time when public trust is already fragile. Access to events like WrestleMania is not simply about coverage. It is about accountability. Journalists serve as a bridge between organizations and the public, offering context, critique, and analysis. When access is selectively limited, it raises questions about whether companies are attempting to control narratives rather than engage with them.

The reported decision is particularly notable given the complicated history between WWE and ESPN. While the two entities have collaborated in various capacities, the relationship has not been without friction. In January, their business dealings were scrutinized through a class-action lawsuit alleging deceptive marketing practices tied to premium live event distribution. Though details of that case continue to develop, it has already cast a shadow over what might otherwise be seen as a standard media partnership.

Further tension has reportedly surfaced in editorial influence. ESPN was said to have adjusted aspects of its coverage, including the removal of its letter-grade review system for shows, following pressure from WWE. If accurate, such changes blur the line between editorial independence and corporate influence, a distinction that is critical in maintaining journalistic integrity.

On April 2, Hale published an article with new information regarding the WWE and Janel Grant sexual battery and trafficking allegations. One could assume WWE was not pleased with this being published on its partner’s platform.

Blocking access to a journalist like Hale amplify concerns for integrity. Established reporters bring knowledge, trust, and a track record of fair coverage. Denying them entry does not eliminate scrutiny, it often intensifies it, shifting the conversation from the event itself to questions about transparency and control.

    Final Thoughts

Moments like this go beyond one reporter or one event. They show how companies handle scrutiny when it matters most. If transparency only exists when it’s convenient, trust will erode.

Son of Sid Vicious Slams WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony: “They Did Him Dirty”

Gunnar Eudy Speaks Out Following His Father Sid Vicious’ WWE Hall of Fame Induction

The legacy of Sid Eudy, known to wrestling fans worldwide as Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, was officially cemented during the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas. However, not even 24 hours removed from the induction, his son Gunnar Eudy has issued a statement heavily criticizing WWE.

In a Facebook post shared earlier today, Gunnar expressed gratitude to fans while simultaneously taking shots at WWE’s handling of his father’s induction.

“Thank you to everyone for all the love and support you’ve shown our family. It means the world, and I appreciate every single person who had my dad’s back. Last night’s so-called ‘Hall of Fame induction’ for my father, Sid Eudy ‘Sycho Sid’ ‘Sid Vicious’ was straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell. I’m glad my dad was big enough to put himself over even in death, because WWE damn sure wouldn’t.”

Gunnar’s frustrations extended beyond the ceremony itself, citing what he perceived as a lack of visibility and recognition for his father throughout the host city and official WWE offerings.

“I didn’t see one single ad for him here in Vegas. The Hall of Fame gift shop had zero merch for my dad not a damn thing, But they were loaded with all the Dennis Rodman crap you could want. It felt like they just swept him under the rug like a footnote, rushing to get him out of the way.”

The post continued with sharper criticism directed toward what Gunnar described as long-standing tensions within the wrestling industry.

“Maybe if we had waited another 20 years until all those jealous, insecure ex-colleagues were gone you know the ones who could never match his athletic ability, his looks, or his unbreakable will power to tell them ‘no’ he would’ve finally gotten the full induction he actually deserved.”

Despite the harsh critique, Gunnar also shared a more personal and positive takeaway from the experience, centered around attending the event with his son.

“Still, I’m trying to stay positive for my son’s sake: I got to bring him, and he doesn’t know they did his grandpa dirty. He just got to see his hero honored. That moment with my boy made it worth it. And at least we walked away with the real Hall of Fame ring I’m adding pictures of it here because that’s something solid we can actually hold onto while the rest of this felt like a slap in the face.”

He closed his message with a tribute to his father’s legacy, while reiterating his belief that the company fell short in properly honoring him.

“Rest in power, Dad. The Master and Ruler of the World got his flowers… even if WWE tried to shortchange you one last time. They were always jealous. 💪🖤 Congratulations to Bad news Brown and Sid Vicious and Demolition. #SidVicious #SychoSid #WWEHOF #FamilyFirst #BadNewsBrown”

Sid Vicious remains one of the most physically imposing and polarizing figures of his era, known for his commanding presence and multiple World Championship reigns across WWE and WCW. His induction into the WWE Hall of Fame was long considered overdue by many within the industry.

  • Becky Lynch Says She Wants To Change The Narrative That Women Can’t Be In The Main Event Of WrestleMania

Becky Lynch Says She Wants To Change The Narrative That Women Can’t Be In The Main Event Of WrestleMania

Becky Lynch believes the women are the biggest stars in the WWE today and they belong in the main event.

This weekend will be another massive WrestleMania PLE for the WWE where the main events for night one and two are headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Undisputed Championship vs. Randy Orton, and CM Punk will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Becky Lynch, who is also set to compete at the grandest stage of them all had explained how the WWE needs to fight more to condition the fans to believe more in the women and the idea of them being in the main event once again for WrestleMania.

“I just want to tell good stories, have good matches. Want to make sure that the business is better when I leave it than how I found it. I know that what I have done is prove that women could be the biggest stars in this company, and they are and can be. I think sometimes we need to fight to make sure we’re positioned as such, because you can be a huge name, but if you’re not positioned in the main event. It’s very easy when we condition the audience, this person’s the main event, this person’s the main event, this person’s the main event, we see them as the main event. When we don’t condition the audience, then it becomes a little bit harder, and for the last few years, I think we’ve, for the most part, those main events have gone to two, maybe three, four dudes constantly. I think we need to change that again. I think we need to. I don’t know what that means, whether that means fighting a bit more, whether it’s me or somebody else.”

Lynch will look to regain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship when she battles AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42 this weekend.

  • WrestleMania 42 Night 1: My Predictions & Picks

WrestleMania 42 Night 1: My Predictions & Picks

WrestleMania 42 kicks off Saturday night from Allegiant Stadium, continuing WWE’s two-night format in the modern era. Eight championship matches are spread across the weekend, with Night 1 headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the undisputed WWE championship against Randy Orton.

There’s a lot on paper here. Some of it feels big. Some of it feels… a little overthought.

    Seth Rollins vs. Gunther

This is one of those matches that should feel like a can’t-miss clash. Seth Rollins needs momentum badly if WWE still wants fans to buy into The Vision. Injuries have gutted that group, and right now it feels like it’s hanging on by a thread. Meanwhile, Gunther has almost become a victim of his own booking — the “legend killer” role has boxed him in creatively.

    Pick: Rollins

Women’s World Championship — Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan

Stephanie Vaquer has been great in the ring, no question. But this feels like it’s been building toward Liv Morgan reclaiming the spotlight ever since her return. Add in potential chaos from Raquel Rodriguez or even Roxanne Perez, and it feels like the title is changing hands.

    Pick: Morgan

Logan Paul, Austin Theory & IShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight

The celebrity presence is here again, with IShowSpeed stepping into the spotlight. He’ll probably do fine athletically, but this is more about energy than anything. The USO’s and LA Knight feel like the right call to get the crowd going early. On the other side, Logan Paul and Austin Theoy feel stuck in limbo right now.

Pick: The Usos & LA Knight

Women’s Intercontinental Championship — AJ Lee (c) vs. Becky Lynch

It’s been cool seeing AJ Lee back in the mix, but this run never felt built to last. One defense heading into WrestleMania doesn’t exactly scream “fighting champion.” Becky Lynch brings consistency, and honestly, this title needs that right now.

    Pick: Lynch

Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre (Unsanctioned Match)

Drew McIntyre is exactly who he’s going to be at this point — a reliable main-event-level heel. That’s not a knock, it’s just reality. Jacob Fatu, though, still has upside to tap into. If WWE is serious about getting him back into a top program, he needs this win.

    Pick: Fatu

Women’s Tag Team Championship — Nia Jax & Lash Legend (c) vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. ____ & Brie Bella

This is a lot going on in one match. Bayley and Lyra feel like the only team that actually needs this. The champs haven’t clicked, Flair and Bliss already got what they needed, and the Bellas feel like a short-term play, especially with Nikki being unable to compete. Who will Brie’s mystery partner be?

    Pick: Bayley & Valkyria

Undisputed WWE Championship — Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton

This should feel bigger than it does. That’s probably the best way to sum it up. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is a story that writes itself, but it’s gotten lost in the shuffle a bit with all the outside noise and crossover elements.

It almost feels like the result isn’t the endgame — just a setup for whatever comes next, whether that’s tag matches, celebrity involvement, or another twist. Still, giving Orton one more title run has some appeal.

    Pick: Orton

    Final Thoughts

There’s a lot to like on this card, but it’s also a mixed bag. Some matches feel meaningful, others feel like placeholders for bigger ideas down the line. That’s kind of where WWE is at right now — big moments, but sometimes at the cost of clean storytelling.

Night 1 should deliver in-ring. The question is whether it actually sticks once it’s over.

-She says she wanted to come out before Cargill started talking and says when it comes to WrestleMania 42, she can’t wait to embarrass Cargill.

-B Fab says Ripley should be the only embarrassed one because she comes for Cargill and fails.

-Ripley says Cargill has done nothing but hide since Elimination Chamber, whether it’s behind Michin or B Fab or on social media. She says if Cargill wants to say anything to her, it’s her last chance to do so in person alone.

-Michin goes after Ripley but Cargill stops her and says she’s everything Ripley wishes that she could be.

-Michin & B Fab leave the ring as Cargill tells Ripley that while Ripley keeps talking, she’ll make things quick.

-Ripley says she doesn’t want to be like Cargill and says she’s been fighting people like Cargill her entire life.

-She says her insecurities don’t hold her back and make her the person that she is today as a multi time Women’s Champion in WWE.

-Cargill holds up the Women’s Title and stares down Ripley then leaves the ring.

Women’s United States Title #1 Contenders Match

-Williams says Zayn hit his friend with a Helluva Kick and hurt him then says he doesn’t know when Yachty will be back whether it’s Night 1 or Night 2 of WrestleMania 42.

-He says Zayn also ruined his planned entrance for WrestleMania 42 then tells Zayn to get his gingerbread man ass to the ring.

-Zayn’s music hits and someone in a gingerbread costume makes his way out.

-Williams asks the gingerbread man what’s wrong and says Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 is all about him winning the United States Title at his 1st WrestleMania.

-The real Zayn emerges at ringside and says he’s glad that Williams is taking his 1st WrestleMania seriously.

-He says he hasn’t been having a whole lot of fun and neither have the fans then says he has plenty of fans at home and in the live crowd that will be in his corner at WrestleMania 42 and beyond.

-Zayn says since Williams first showed up on Smackdown and interrupted him, everyone was talking about Williams.

-He becomes distracted by the person in the gingerbread costume and tells them to go away as Zayn continues on by saying that everyone said Williams was the future of professional wrestling.

-He says while he initially believed that, Williams hasn’t shown him much where it counts in the ring.

-He says he sees a punk rookie when he looks at Williams now then says Williams will realize that he bit off more than he could chew at WrestleMania 42 when he walks into WrestleMania without a plan.

-Williams says that he is the plan then says Zayn doesn’t know how to find himself anymore.

-He says Zayn is one of the most respected guys in the locker room but Zayn threw all of that away because of him and says Zayn is really the one without a plan.

-He promises to get the job done at WrestleMania 42.

-Zayn says Williams and the boos of the fans aren’t in his head then says Williams’ master plan was to stand in the ring with a gingerbread man 2 days before their United States Title match.

-Williams says he’s standing in the ring with two gingerbread man and they begin brawling.

-Williams takes down Zayn but Zayn clotheslines Williams out of the ring.

-Zayn spots the gingerbread man in the corner of the ring still and laughs at him then lands a Helluva Kick on the gingerbread man.
