  • Diana Hart Blasts Brother Bret Hart Over Davey Smith Accusations

Diana Hart Blasts Brother Bret Hart Over Davey Smith Accusations

Bret Hart versus Davey Boy Smith from SummerSlam 1992 is a fan-favorite. But, Bret Hart has spoke about the match in the past, claiming that Davey’s drug problems left him in bad psychical condition, leading to Bret having to carry Davey to a great match.

Davey Boy Smith passed away in 2002 due to a Heart Attack. Bret claimed that steroids and human growth hormones played a part in his untimely death. Now, Davey’s ex-wife and sister of Bret Hart, Diana Hart, has blasted back at her older brother.

Though Diana Hart and Davey Boy Smith divorced in 2000 before his passing, she’s still defended her ex-husband and his legacy throughout the years. Even when Davey was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2020, she was on hand to accept with the family. Now, Diana Hart has taken to social media to fire back at Bret Hart’s accusations and even claimed his memory may be messed up due to a stroke he suffered after Smith’s passing.

“Bret does not present his statements as opinions; he states them as facts. That distinction matters, because many of his claims—specifically about Davey’s physical or mental state at SummerSlam’92 are simply not true. It is my opinion that Bret’s current misrepresentation of events at SS92 may be influenced by the stroke he suffered in the summer of 2002. What cannot be ignored is the timing, that Davey died prior to that, in May 2002. There was a full decade (1992-2002) when Bret could have raised his claims directly with Davey, if they were legitimate. He never did. Not once. The absurd and hurtful accusations began years after Davey was no longer alive to respond. Instead, Bret now frames, over and over, despite my appeals to him with facts and critical reasoning to please restrain and refrain his slander, but he refuses. Bret now frames this incredible match as great solely because of his own alleged brilliance, assigning himself all credit while diminishing Davey’s invaluable role. Bret’s narrative is not supported by history, by documentation, or by what audiences can plainly see when they watch the match itself, without Bret’s overlapping slandering words. Davey’s performance shows no evidence of impairment. On the contrary, it reflects Davey’s professionalism, strength and focus-despite the FACT that he was recovering from necrotizing fasciitis, a serious and life-threatening flesh-eating infection. Davey did not complain, seek sympathy, or disclose his condition to the public. He simply did the work. It is difficult to reconcile these FACTS with Bret’s retroactive claims, except to note a long-standing pattern of self-aggrandizement. IMO, and I’m very clear that this is opinion, Bret’s tendency toward ego, bullying and exaggeration/embellishment predates both his stroke and the match in question. I base that on my lived experience growing up with him as my older brother and on decades of observed behaviour towards family members and colleagues. What I will not accept is history being rewritten after the fact, especially when the person, (Davey)being totally discredited is no longer alive to defend himself. Davey was so good and loyal to Bret.”

Diana included a photo on the post of the three of them at SummerSlam 1992, but she marked a big black X over Bret Hart. As of now, Bret Hart has not responded.

  • Ricochet’s AEW Journey Redefines Himself and His Career

Ricochet’s AEW Journey Redefines Himself and His Career

Ricochet’s run in All Elite Wrestling feels fresh, sharp and impossible to overlook. Once known mainly for his highlight-reel ability, he has grown into one of the most complete performers in the business today. His earlier stops in NJPW and WWE showcased his athleticism, but his debut at AEW All In Wembley in 2024 marked a true shift in direction.

Since that moment, Ricochet has reshaped how he is viewed. The in-ring brilliance has always been there, but now it is paired with confidence, presence and purpose. He no longer feels like a performer trying to stand out. He feels like one that can lead the show.

    AEW Fight for the Fallen.

His rivalry with Swerve Strickland played a major role in that transformation. That specific program pushed him to another level, bringing out the Ricochet many believed had always been there. On the January 1, 2025, episode of Fight for the Fallen, Ricochet viciously attacked and bloodied Strickland with a pair of scissors, cementing his heel turn. To make matters worse, on the February 5 episode of Dynamite, Ricochet defeated Strickland and proceeded to steal the Embassy robe bestowed upon Strickland by Prince Nana in honor of  Embassy member Jimmy Rave. Feuds of this caliber also gave him the opportunity to talk on the mic.

For years, Ricochet carried the stigma that he could not cut a promo. Whether it was  brought up in feuds, or from the basement dwellers on the internet, that label was always attached. That label now feels misplaced—gone.  In AEW, he has found a voice that connects. His delivery is sharper, more confident and far more natural. As a heel, the reaction from the crowd is all it takes to know you got it. It is hard to ignore the contrast with his time in WWE, where his character often felt restricted and carefully managed—like there was a leash on at all times.

That difference is clear today. In AEW, Ricochet has the freedom to define himself. He is no longer boxed into one dimension. It’s no longer “go out there and do some flips!” He is evolving in real time, and the results speak for themselves.

That evolution has led to his emergence as one of the top heels in professional wrestling. Ricochet has embraced the role, adding layers to his character while maintaining the dynamic style that made him special in the first place. The reaction from crowds reflects that shift. He is not just respected, ( the internet will tell you otherwise ) he is a focal point. Whether it’s hundreds of rolls of toilet paper being thrown into the ring, chants of “BALD!”, or the deafening “shut the f*ck up!”, it is obvious that what Ricochet is doing is working.

Along side his character work, Ricochet’s rise reached another level when he became the inaugural AEW National Champion. The moment served as both recognition and validation. It confirmed that Ricochet is not just thriving, he is essential—proof that he is thought highly of to Tony Khan, and his peers.

Most importantly, this run feels like a revival. The move to AEW has not only elevated his career, but it seems to have restored his passion. There is a clear energy in everything he does, a sense that he is fully invested in his craft again.

Ricochet is no longer defined by what he was. In AEW, he has become what many believed he could be all along.

  • WWE NXT Revenge: Lola Vice Retains Women’s Championship

WWE NXT Revenge: Lola Vice Retains Women’s Championship

The main event of NXT Revenge week one saw the WWE NXT Women’s Championship on the line when new champion Lola Vice defended against Jacy Jayne. Earlier this month at NXT Stand and Deliver, Lola Vice defeated Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey to claim the gold.

Now, Jacy wanted her rematch and got it tonight. But, her path back to the championship wasn’t going to be easy. The new champ already had her grip on the title and wouldn’t let go.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2044231889016275439?s=46

With Fatal Influence at ringside, it was inevitable that they would get in involved, and that they did. While Lola could fend them off early, it still helped Jacy Jayne take control of the match.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2044232692166701128?s=46

Jacy almost had this match won multiple times after distractions, but it was a back-fist out of nowhere that led Lola Vice to victory. After the match, Kali Armstrong, Kendal Grey and Izzi Dame made their presences known. Then, Zaria tried to come to the ring, but was attacked on the stage by Sol Ruca to end the show.

  • WWE NXT Revenge: EK Prosper Advances In Speed Tournament

WWE NXT Revenge: EK Prosper Advances In Speed Tournament

After Elio LeFleur was injured in a live event, he was forced to vacate his Speed Championship last week. Now, we need to crowd a new champion in a new Speed tournament. Tonight, that tournament continues with Dorian Van Dux versus EK Prosper.

Dorian Van Dux was seen recently in AAA, but, this is our first real proper look at him on WWE NXT. For EK Prosper, he was unsuccessful his last time trying to capture the gold, but he gets another chance.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2044225723779432506?s=46

Last week, Lexis King defeated ‘Starboy’ Hall to advance to the finals. Now, one of these men will face King for the championship.

With a three minute time limit, these men were on fire from the opening bell. Dorian Van Dux hit a wild dive to show off his athletics, but EK fired back with a dive of his own. As the clock was ticking, Dorian Van Dux started panicking and went for a shooting star press, but missed! EK Prosper followed up with a a Moonsault and picked up the win with five seconds left.

  • WWE NXT Revenge: Tony D’Angelo Retains NXT Championship

WWE NXT Revenge: Tony D’Angelo Retains NXT Championship

A key match for week one of WWE NXT Revenge is Tony D’Angelo defending his recently won WWE NXT Championship against former champion, Ethan Page. After losing to D’Angelo in a fatal-4-way match alongside Joe Hendry and Ricky Starks, Ethan wanted his one-on-one shot, and he’s got it.

Earlier in the night, Ethan Page and Ricky Starks, who were formerly mad at each other after the four way match, have made up. Ethan promised Ricky then if he won tonight, he’d get the first title shot.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2044217139431706873?s=46

And so the match began, and quickly, Ricky Starks made his presence known at ringside. But, just as quick as he showed up, he was gone. Ricky was pulled under the ring from someone unknown, for about ten seconds. Then, Shiloh Hill came from under the ring and pulled Ricky out by a rope that was tied to his feet, and drug him to the back.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2044218440848732198?s=46

Shiloh over-heard the conversation Ethan and Ricky had earlier, and he put a stop to their shenanigans. Meanwhile, Ethan still had to fight, and he had a fired up Tony D’Angelo in his way.

In the end, Tony D’Angelo jumped from the barricade to the announcers table to spear Ethan Page. He then put him back in the ring, hit a choke-slam and picked up the win.
