The intercontinental championship was on the line at WrestleMania 42, Night 1. AJ Lee defended her championship against Becky Lynch. This rivalry has become really heated in the last few weeks, especially when Becky’s daughter was named by AJ Lee, only firing her up more.
Becky was in a different mindset during this one, as she used tactic she could to get an advantage. From pulling AJ Lee’s hair, to getting the referee involved, it was by any means necessary for Lynch.

In the end, Becky bounced AJ Lee’s head off the exposed turnbuckle with the referee not seeing, and picked up the win to become the new women’s intercontinental champion.
