WWE “Sign Guy” Passes Away

“Sign Guy” Rick Achberger has passed away. This was announced today by Lance Peterson, presumably a close friend. He stated that Rick had been going through some health battles. We will always know him as the Sign Guy who appeared many times in the front row of WWF/WWE events over the years. Usually sporting a blue shirt and red hat along with signage that he made for the night.

We would like to send our condolences to Rick’s family and friends. Rest Easy!

It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of
WWE Sign Guy Rick Achberger, today Sunday 9/27/26.
He was an absolute great guy and loved talking with fans at the shows. He tackled some health problems a couple of years ago, but last month began to go downhill rapidly.… pic.twitter.com/LPgOp1wRFe
