A rematch between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes is reportedly among WWE’s early creative discussions for WrestleMania 43.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, one source identified Punk against Rhodes as a potential main event for the two-night show. The match has not been approved or formally scheduled, and plans could change before April.
Punk defeated Rhodes while defending the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam in August. It was their first singles match in 18 years, with Randy Orton interfering and helping cost Rhodes the championship.
Roman Reigns against Oba Femi is also reportedly being considered for WrestleMania, although that match is similarly unconfirmed.
The report added that WWE hopes Rhea Ripley will be healthy enough to receive a prominent role on the women’s side of the card. Ripley has been sidelined since suffering a torn meniscus in June.
WrestleMania 43 will be held in Saudi Arabia in April, but WWE has not announced the exact dates.
