TKO Seemingly Under Pressure Not To Cancel Upcoming Saudi Arabia Events

Todd Homegrown ·

WWE’s Crown Jewel PLE is currently scheduled for November 7th, 2026 from the Riyadh Season Stadium at King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, the US Embassy recently issued a security alert for anyone traveling to the area due to Houthi hostilities.

There have been reports that WWE has a backup plan in place just in case they are unable to hold the planned Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia, although nothing has been confirmed. But according to The Wrestling Observer, a recent tweet from Turki Alalshikh, a Saudi Government official and chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has seemingly put more pressure on TKO not to cancel their upcoming events planned to take place in Saudi Arabia. He tweeted:

“Canelo reached out and told me he’ll still fight in Riyadh this October, no matter what happens. He fears nothing.

My country is home to the two Holy Mosques, land of peace, safety, rich civilization, deep history, and kind-hearted people.

Thank you to everyone who checked in and showed support.

Hard times reveal true friends. 🙏❤️🥊”

TKO also has UFC events scheduled for the area in the upcoming months, UFC 333: Volkanovski vs. Evloev is set to take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE and UFC Fight Night 295 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

We will keep you updated here at Bodyslam.net as more news and information surrounding WWE’s Crown Jewel PLE and it’s potential cancellation becomes known.
